Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Wound & Skin Care of Wyoming(“WCW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit woundcareofwyoming.com (the “Site”) or submit information through a contact, consult, or RSVP form on the Site. This policy covers our website and marketing activities only — it does not cover protected health information created or received during clinical care, which is handled separately under HIPAA (see “HIPAA & Protected Health Information” below).
Information We Collect
We collect two general categories of information:
- Information you provide directly. When you fill out a contact, consult, or event RSVP form, we collect what you submit — for example your name, phone number, email address, preferred location, and the service or program you're interested in.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect certain data when you visit the Site, including your device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and referring source. We also use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, to understand how visitors use the Site and to measure and deliver advertising.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and requests for information;
- Schedule and confirm consultations and appointments;
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
- Measure the effectiveness of our advertising and deliver relevant ads through platforms like Meta (Facebook/Instagram); and
- Comply with legal obligations.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and to support analytics and advertising. This includes the Meta Pixel, a tool that helps us understand the actions visitors take on our Site and helps Meta deliver and measure our advertising. The Meta Pixel does not receive your name, health information, or the contents of any form you submit — only that an event (such as a page view or form submission) occurred.
When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner lets you Accept or Declinenon-essential cookies and tracking, including the Meta Pixel. If you decline, the Meta Pixel is not loaded or fired in your browser. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this Site and reloading the page, which will show the banner again.
Third Parties & Advertising
We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and use Meta's tools to measure and improve those campaigns, including the Meta Pixel described above and Meta's server-side Conversions API. Information shared with Meta for these purposes is limited to technical and event data (such as that a lead was submitted) — we do not send Meta your name, health information, or the contents of your message. Meta's use of information is governed by its own data policy, available at facebook.com/privacy/policy. We may also use other service providers (such as email delivery and hosting providers) to operate the Site; those providers act on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
HIPAA & Protected Health Information
This policy applies to our website and marketing activities. It does not apply to protected health information (PHI) created or received in the course of your clinical care with us, which is governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and our Notice of Privacy Practices, provided separately at our clinics. Information you submit through a website contact or consult form (before you are a patient) is treated as marketing/administrative information under this policy, not as clinical PHI.
Your Choices
- Cookies: Decline non-essential cookies and the Meta Pixel using the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
- Marketing: You can ask to be removed from marketing communications at any time by contacting us using the information below.
- Access, correction, or deletion: Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you've submitted through the Site.
Data Retention
We retain information submitted through the Site for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, provide the services you requested, and comply with our legal and business obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
Children
The Site is intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18 through the Site.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
